The Asus L210 laptop is a budget option that is great for college students and learners. It has a long battery life and portable. No way two computer users are alike when it comes to their computer needs. Some people love to have 20 tabs open in their browsers, while others prefer to work on their laptops using intensive software like Photoshop or other editing software. Finally, there are casual users who use a laptop simply because they feel it is more convenient than typing on a touchscreen. They also prefer the user interface for multiple apps and don’t need to worry about a tablet. This laptop is ideal for casual users who just need to check the latest updates, chat with their friends, and stream a few videos.
This notebook is a fantastic choice for learners and students, and it demonstrates why Asus is one of the most loved laptop brands across all price ranges. The combination of features is impressive, from the lightweight shell, to the good battery life (up to 10 hours), and the 11-inch screen. Add to that a slim profile, a cleverly designed 180deg lay flat hinge, which is something you rarely see in entry-level laptops, and this makes a great basic computer for students and learners.
Design OF Asus L210
We can see design-wise that Asus did not reinvent the wheel. The entire body of the Asus L210 is made from plastic. But bezels that are not as thin as those on high-end models. It is still very portable. Fanless CPU and eMMC storage help to reduce weight and make the package more portable. The touchpad of this notebook is one of its most notable innovations. It was renamed numberpad by the manufacturer. This trackpad is identical to the original and has a virtual numeric keypad that can be activated by clicking in the upper right corner.
Another advantage is the sturdy and wide hinge which allows for the body to open 180° so its screen can be viewed more clearly. Although we don’t think this is as useful as the virtual number pad, it’s certainly appreciated. The 11-inch display isn’t bright enough to our liking. The HD (1333 x 768) resolution is impressive. But it leaves the screen looking dull. This isn’t a major issue if your job involves word processing and web browsing. But it does make photos and video look less vibrant. It offers an HD image without outdoor reflections thanks to a matte finishing. It’s not a high-end laptop display and it would be unfair to call it such. However, it will work for most people who use it primarily to browse the internet and not to replace a TV.
We recommend the Acer Aspire 5 Slim if you are really concerned about the quality of the screen. Although it’s still relatively inexpensive, the device has a FullHD display, twice the storage, an upgradable RAM and a much more powerful processor. The port selection includes USB 2.0, USB Type-C and USB 3.2,HDMI, audio jack combo, micro-SD card, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and an integrated webcam. These ports are useful for connecting all peripherals.
Key Components OF Asus L210
Asus equips the notebook with a low-end Intel processor, the Celeron. It is a dual-core chipset and runs at 1GHz. However, once it is in turbo mode it can reach 2GHz. It only supports one thread per core. Combine that processor with 4GB RAM, which cannot be upgraded. This gives it an average performance that is sufficient for what this laptop can offer. Its suitable for daily tasks.
It comes with an eMMC Card with 64GB space. It is small in volume but it can store photos, documents, and music. This storage space is not expandable, but you can make use the multi-format card reader to increase its volume. The number pad is not located on the right side or the keyboard of the Asus laptop L210. This is not uncommon on smaller notebooks, but Asus cleverly integrated it onto the trackpad. Although it sounds absurd, there is a virtual number pad that can be turned on or off using a button on your touchpad. A number pad might not be beneficial for everyone but it is a great option for people who are interested in math, science, and business.
Performance OF Asus L210MA-DB01
Performance is the most important aspect of this laptop. Many buyers have stated that this laptop is best suited for casual, undemanding work. It’s fine for browsing the internet, downloading files, watching movies, and editing documents. You’ll have trouble if you move on to more CPU-intensive tasks such as photoshop or using IDE’s. The Asus L210MA can run two or three apps concurrently, as long as you don’t have multiple windows open at once.
The laptop’s battery life is perhaps the most important feature, aside from its light design and low price. Asus claims that the battery will last 12 hours. Don’t trust official claims and it is a good practice to assume 30% less that what’s being claimed. The battery in our review unit is a medium-sized battery. If you keep it light, you get 8 hours of battery lifetime.
This model is not without its limitations. The RAM cannot be upgraded, and the resolution is only HD. This laptop is an excellent buy for many people. It doesn’t require a lot of power for simple tasks like writing and speaking. It is extremely affordable and offers great features. Asus has managed to pack a lot into this model at such a low price. This laptop is great for kids, seniors, students, and casual users who only need a basic laptop to perform computing tasks.
